| Helpful Hints for filling out a Litter Ad | |
| Please do not use all CAPS when filling in names in any of the fields. There is a style that I'd like to adhere to, where the sire and dam names are highlighted in a different color for emphasis. Using all CAPS will only delay the posting of your ad. |
|
| Non-required items are marked as (optional) following the field on the form, all other items are required. Missing fields will generate a missing item alert. |
|
| FIELD: | |
| Name | The dog's registered name preceded and followed by titles only. The list of titles following the name should be space (not comma) delimited, i.e. CH Fido CD JH NA not CH Fido CD,JH,NA. |
| Call name | Call name will be double quoted and comma separated form the formal Name |
| Hips- Elbows - Eyes - Certification # -
|
For Non-US litters select the Non-US box and use the certification number field to list your country's registry name and the animals assigned number or status. For example, if your country has an eye registry called SEF include this with any rating or number, i.e. A1 assigned to your dog in the certification number field In this ad this will appear as Eyes Non-US SEF A1 Certification number can be stated as "pending" when the registary has not yet assigned a number or as in the case of CERF that you can mail me a copy of the exam results. You will be required to send me proof within 10 days of submitting your ad for the ad to remain listed longer. |
| PRA | There are various combinations of identifiers used over time by Optigen to show which test was used to determine the dog's PRA status. Here I provide options of NORMAL to designate A/A1/Nor, CARRIER for B/B1/Car, and AFFECTED for C/C1/Aft. A fourth possibility is NORMAL by Parentage where both parents are NORMAL or NORMAL by Parentage. If none of the above is true then the dog is assumed to be untested and PRA Unknown will be displayed in your ad. |
| Other certifications | A comma delimited list of other health certifications, i.e. cardiac, thyroid testing. List the registry name, the test name and status or number of each. |
| Sire's Sire - Sire's Dam - Dam's Sire - Dams Dam - |
Same as the Name field for the parents. There is no explicit field for listing health clearances of the grandparents. You can add OFA/CERF as a comma delimited list after the name. For example, CH Fido's Dad SH, OFA Good, CERF Normal |
| State- Country - |
These two fields identify the geographical location of the litter and precede the ad. US litters are identified by State so leave the Country field blank. For all other countries I will use whatever is typed into the Country field. It would be nice if you could use the country code. |
