Apparently chickens are given the highest levels of antibiotics (injected directly into egg before hatched, so even "organic" chicken only refers to a cessation of antibiotic administration after hatching). Anyway, strains of resistant basic staph bacteria (e. coli) are found a-plenty in grocery store chicken. Thinking about how this can make its way into dogfood ... are dogfood additives contributing 1.) to allergic reactions *and then* 2.) to resistant bacterial infections colonizing allergy-induced lesions? Is this why courses of more antibiotics are needed? Hmmm ... anybody seen any improvement after eliminating fowl-derivatives from diet? Follow Ups: Post a Followup |
