Subject: I tend to have the opposite problem - anyone else? Boris, from a fairly young age, starting developing black skin tumours which looked like very scary melanomas. We had some excised and the histology came back as benign melanomas (so not dangerous). He had one on the lower inner eyelid which had to be removed because it started to interfere with his eye as it grew. Now, at 13 (and a quarter!) he has quite a few of these - black, quite raised, sometimes slightly detached like crinkly skin tags. I don't worry about these - he is a lumpy boy anyway what with lipomas and other benign skin masses. But, interesting, Otto, at 2, has just started to develop a hyperpigmented area also on his lower eyelid. Boris and Otto are entirely unrelated so I was wondering if this hyperpigmented melanocytic type findings were chessie -related in general? Sorry - seem to have hijacked your topic Kathy..... Liz
