Subject: Update to paralysis--BELA Posted by Rudd on November 02, 2008 at 20:10:40: She is doing a lot better. I make the drive to WSU three times a week to see how she is doing and am impressed each time I see her. She is basically a three legged dog right now. She can use her right front (not 100% coordinated) and can get a run developed but tires out. Then she just falls down, lol. It is quite funny. Her rear right leg is not doing all that well and shows no improvement. The vet says it will be the last to come around (obviously) but feels it will come around. I am happy with just three legs, at least she can join us on our morning walks and be able to be mobile around the house. She is now a couch dog and maybe if she progresses in the future can go out hunting again. Just glad she will be coming home instead of the alternative.
