When I lived in a rowhouse in Fells Point, there were a couple of nurses who lived just up the street. They completely adored Tedy and he them. They had a key to the house and would come by and pick him up...take him everywhere...

One had a futon downstairs on which she slept and they both watched TV. Teddy would approach the futon and if not asked up he would put just one paw on the futon. Folowed by a second, minutes later. Then a hind foot..at that point they always laughed and invited him up. I supplied them with dog food, but they never used it. Whatever was their choice of the day included him. Sometimes people would stop their cars while I was walking him and roll a window down and yell, " Teddy! " He knew more people than I did.

One of them eventually adopted Cody.
