I had to think we I actually knew we were connected as it seems we have been forever.

Chaos had been running supreme. My mother's health had taken a turn for the worse, work was falling apart, Simon/I were taking obedience classes, the van was dying.....just everywhere you turned. My husband had to fly home for his Grandmother's 100 birthday party. When he left, the weather was fine. By the time his plane left the tarmac, we were predicted to have a nor'easter. It started snowing that night and snowed for 24 hours. Starting at 3am the next morning, I was blowing snow out of the driveway. The drift at the end of the driveway as over 6ft tall. I kept working on it and when I decided to take a break -- I couldn't get in the door. It had locked behind me when I went out. I had to break the glass to get in.

Well - this was like the last straw. I got in and Simon wanted out. So we went out back so I could clean off an area for him. On the way down the stairs, I slipped and fell down the steps. I layed at the bottom of the steps and just started bawling. Simon came to me and started kissing my face. When we got back into the house, he brought me his favorite toy, put it in my lap, and laid his chin on my knee and looked into my eyes as if saying "its okay, I'm here." That was when I knew.
