Subject: Does your dog display an exaggerated ridge?

When Ohana gets into her protective mode or gets excited, she shows an extremely exaggerated ridge of hair down her back... esp high at the neck and back and one place on her tail. (We could call miss hyena if it were in more areas.) When calm, there is no ridge that shows, and her fur is too long for a ridgeback, esp. at her shoulders. I've seen other dogs display, but this ridge is distinct. Do Chessies have an exaggerated ridge?
