I have NEVER seen a CBR raise it hackles. Dogs do that to appear bigger and stronger and to bluff the other dogs . CBRS have an attitude that they project to other dogs that they are bigger and stronger and they don't bluff. They are in correct temperament confident dogs who intimidate. I did a seminar once on the breed. There was a seminar earlier on Tibetan Mastiffs. As I walked Cutter in the dog for the seminar, there were two Tibetans on a leash with their owners. As Cutter approached (calmly walking on lead), they raised their hackles. Their owner was perplexed as to why since Cutter was not being challenging at all. Dyane Follow Ups:
