Parvo is left in fecal matter which decomposes and becomes part of the soil. Any area where infected dogs may have left fecal matter is a danger to unprotected youngsters. I cringe everytime I see folks out in public with their new puppies. You'd be amazed at how many people don't keep their dogs vaccinations up-to-date. You can't assume that the dogs around you are healthy. I live in in a very poor neighborhood and I am sure that most of the dogs around me are not vaccinated. Follow Ups:
