I second that. A golden might be a better fit with all the strange people coming around regularly. A chessie asks each and every one, each and every time...what kind of human are you? I am in charge of security here, and I have a need to know. A golden says, Hey!, People! Pet me!

a lab or golden knows no strangers, only friends they haven't met.

A chessie knows few friends, only strangers they HAVE met.

Some will tell you that a chessie can be dangerous to a young child. More likely, a chessie is dangerous to your childs friends. Chessies always take sides, no matter who was wrong, who started it. After all, they feel responsible.
