Yes, he's been work because he ended up in rescue due to his issues, but working through them has been very rewarding, and now he is the sweetest, most outgoing and fun dog. One trainer that I have worked with calls him "the best, friendliest, most outgoing Chessie ever." High praise for a dog that ended up in rescue because of behavior issues. But as Heather has said, many of these dogs end up in rescue because of their owners, not because of their personalities. Job changes, moves, etc. A rescue surrendered under these circumstances can be a wonderful addition to your family. They will bond to you, and bond strongly. I would adopt another rescue in a heartbeat. They are and can be wonderful dogs.
