Subject: Well I'll go first. Here go's. Going to make 2008 the BEST. Posted by Sandie, chessy@onlineimage.com on January 03, 2008 at 10:32:11: Ok most of you know I do rescue work for both NY CBR Rescue and also ACC Rescue East. We're usually have between 14-20 Chessies in need all the time, coming and going. Never ends I'm afraid. So I'm going to make an offer to those who have big open hearts willing to take a wonderful sweet Senior dog. All rescue groups have them. If we're too far away, check out one closer to you. Right now we have 4 of them. PLEASE open up your heart & home to a wonderful dog over the age of 7 and bring love and happiness into it's life. It's not the amount of time you have with a dear friend it's the quality and better to have a short time, than none at all. Kellie is a lovely big 10 yr. girl looks younger than her years. We've put her on a diet and checked her for Thyroid and she's feeling much better with her little pill every day. Sable spent most of her life on a chain, a few litters of pups. But kind sweet and loving and well behaved. She's still got plenty of life in her. Suppose to be about 9-10, Age is questionable, but at lest 7 for sure. But she acts more like a 2 or 3 yr. old. I wish I had half her energy. Just wants someone to love her. Charlie is a small boy. A real clown with a happy personality, real sweet, loves everyone and had to be given up because his family where Seniors themselves and facing devastating future of Parkinson and Alizhimer so had to go into assent living. Kattie is a big girl, lots of energy and loves people. Would love a country life of just hanging around helping out, than lay by the fires at the end of the day. Now all these guys do have age and yes not a lot of time left in their lives. But than who know how long any of us have in reality. I've lost 10 mo old and 2 yr olds. So who knows for sure. But they are sweet wonderful guys who deserve a good home, with love,kindness and someone to be there in the end. Do YOU have a big heart, big enough to give and open your homes for what time they have lef.. Will you cry when they pass on, yes I'm sure you will as well as I will. But the thing is because they are old dosen't mean they don't deserve as much. Is YOU'R heart big enough? Here's my offer for these great guys. They will come with a 3 month supply of dog food, all health records, medicine they might need for the first 3 months(thyroid,HW & Frontline), a collar & leash & if you live in my area, free board if needed in the first year. Instead of asking for an adoption fee we will accept a donation that will be tax excempt.................YOU must provide a good loving safe home and be willing to keep them till the end. These dogs are all basically healthy and have a good 5-6 even 7 yrs left. So to those Special People who have the big hearts and loving homes willing to open your heart to a Senior in Need.
