He lived for 4 years; bringing lots of joy to my family; especially my grandkids My second chessie was about 12, according to the vet. He was also a shelter rescue, sprung by CBRR & R. He had medical problems, but had a couple of good months being loved and cared for. My last chessie, Meg, was another abandoned girl; she passed away recently. There is just something special about these seniors. That's why I keep fostering/adopting them. People who aren't dog lovers find it difficult to understand. Greta
