Subject: 2 year old NM in North Carolina needs home; owner placement Posted by AmyDahl, oakhillafd@earthlink.net on June 18, 2008 at 20:25:48: A business associate called today to ask my help in placing his Chesapeake. It's a neutered male, 2 years old, about 100 lbs. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't tell if it's fat but I'm guessing not very. He says many positive things about the dog, the problems being (1) it acts "protective" around family members, especially when at home, and (2) he feels it has a need for more attention that it's getting. He has taken the dog duck hunting and is happy with its work. It sounds to me like a Chesapeake-smart owner who doesn't leave the dog at large to indulge in guarding behavior would do this dog some good--hard to believe that the knowledgeable owners aren't "full up," though. If anyone is interested, or knows someone who might be interested, please email me at amy@oakhillkennel.com . Thanks.
