There was also an incident when he ran after some girls on bicycles. The owner is concerned about his liability, since to him the dog is "aggressive," and the one incident involving children could indicate he is a danger to children. He is in the owner's home and the owner has control over placement decisions. I can't evaluate the dog from verbal accounts, except for the presence of resource guarding which was pretty clearly described. I am frustrated because my first conversation with the owner emphasized the dog's good points, and the second--after I'd had several exchanges with this prospective home--brought up more negative issues. In particular the owner had said the dog was great with "his boys" and I mistakenly assumed they were children. Amy Dahl
