But I have have notice that when a chessie adopts a family, no part of the family can be missing without the dog fretting in some way about the missing member. And they tend to love their children...even as they become adults..... . Usually what happens is that they get this Secret Service dog who will look to their security. But really need all the attention, fun and games children can bring. They understand their power and hold back patiently, soething they would no do with adults.
