Well said, Sandie! If ONLY there was some way to get more people to realize what they're missing by overlooking these older gems. Those of us who do have (or have had) them really are the lucky ones. Channel has gone to several community functions (Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game's Kids Fish & Game Fun Day/Open House, Mutt Matchers Day, Responsible Dog Ownership Day, etc.), and people ask about him. So, they here a bit of his story, get the pitch for adopting the older rescue dog(s), and he's been a nice ambassador for the breed. How could you not feel very lucky?
